Bowbaw Konect is a community WiFi provider based in Sunyani Magazine. We connect students of Sunyani Technical University, staff, families and local shops to a fast, fairly-priced network — supported by people who live right here.
Sponsored and run by BowCash Link Mobile money banking · MTN, Telecel & AirtelTigo
Coverage
We build neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting with Sunyani Magazine and the Sunyani Technical University campus. If your area is not listed yet, tell us — we keep a waitlist and go where the demand is.
Not sure? Send us a WhatsApp message with your area and we will confirm coverage before you pay anything.

Why Bowbaw Konect
No lock-in, no hidden charges, no call centre in another country. A local team, fair prices and a network we maintain ourselves.
Plans built for a semester budget — daily bundles, weekly passes and monthly subscriptions that never need a contract or a deposit.
Our own towers, fibre and routers in Sunyani. We monitor the network from the Konect Hub instead of reselling someone else's and hoping for the best.
Message us before 4pm in Sunyani Magazine and a technician is usually at your door the same day. Free installation on monthly plans.
WhatsApp and phone support from people in Sunyani, seven days a week. Most tickets are answered in under fifteen minutes.
Your plan price is your bill. Equipment, installation, reconnection and support are shown up front — no surprise 'network fee' at month end.
Unlimited plans come with a generous fair-use limit so one household cannot slow down the whole street. The number is printed on your plan, not hidden in a clause.
How it works
No paperwork queues, no credit checks, no office visit required. Start from your phone.
Send a WhatsApp message with your name, area and the number of people or devices that will use the connection.
A technician confirms signal strength at your address, then recommends the plan that fits — and tells you honestly if we cannot reach you yet.
We mount the outdoor unit, run a short cable, connect your router and walk you through paying on your phone. Installation is free on monthly plans.
Pay monthly, top up daily, or share one account across the house. Our support desk stays one message away.

Our sponsor
Bowbaw Konect is sponsored by BowCash Link, the mobile money banking agency in Sunyani. BowCash Link funds the towers, the fibre backbone and every free installation — and its agents are the same people you meet when you need support.
BowCash Link is a mobile money banking agency serving Sunyani and the Bono Region. It registered with the Ghana Communications Authority and partnered with a payment service provider to open a community agency — and that agency is what funds Bowbaw Konect.
Every BowCash Link agent point in Sunyani can take your WiFi subscription, top up your data and report a fault — so paying for internet and withdrawing cash happen in the same place.
Site acquisition, tower and mast deployment, fibre backhaul, router subsidies, engineering time and 24-hour fault response. Students get free installation because the agency absorbs the cost, not the customer.
The same business that funds the WiFi runs a full mobile money agency — deposits, withdrawals, transfers, merchant payments, utility bills, school fees and more, on all three networks.
The founders
Bowbaw Konect is run by the two people whose names are on the door.
Bow Kofi Raphael
Co-founder · Operations
“A student should not have to choose between data and food. So we built the network we wished we could buy from.”
Bow handles the day-to-day running of Bowbaw Konect: installations, customer support, the business and student accounts, and the relationships with the University, hostels and neighbourhood association. He grew up in Sunyani and started the project because the areas around Sunyani Technical University were paying more for less data.
Bawa Abdul-Razack
Co-founder · Networks
“Everyone in this neighbourhood should be able to see the tower, and know who keeps it running.”
Bawa looks after the network itself: the towers, the fibre backbone, router provisioning, monitoring and the fair-use policy that keeps one heavy user from slowing a whole street. He is the one who walks the routes, climbs the masts and gets a student hostel back online before the evening lecture.
The name is simply both of them put together —
Bow + Bawa = Bowbaw. Konect, because
the whole point is connecting people.
Support
Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp — a real person replies, usually within fifteen minutes during support hours.
No contract. Monthly plans can be cancelled or paused at any time with one message, and we refund unused time in full. The Campus Unlimited router is free on a three-month prepayment; on daily bundles the router is rented for GH¢ 10 a month, and that is the only equipment charge we make.
Mobile money is the default — MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money — and bank transfer is available for businesses and institutions. No connection deposit is required. We send a receipt by WhatsApp or SMS for every payment, and you can ask for a proper invoice at any time.
On daily and capped plans your speed is reduced after the cap until the next cycle, so you are never cut off mid-exam. On unlimited plans the fair-use threshold applies first; after that, speeds are managed to protect the network for everyone. We message you before either limit affects you.
Plan speeds are the speeds we deliver to your connection; the rest is shared with the people in your house. A 20 Mbps plan means up to 20 Mbps across all your devices, which is usually plenty for streaming, downloads and online classes at the same time. During evening peak hours we hold line rates stable and manage heavy users first.
Check the coverage list first. If your area is not there, send us your location and we will add you to the waitlist and tell you when we build there. Signal checks are free and we will not take your money before we confirm we can reach you.
You can pause a monthly plan for up to two months a year — for exams, travels or a lean month — and keep your number and router. If you move within a covered area we relocate your connection free of charge. If you move outside our coverage, we refund the unused part of your subscription.
We keep usage records — timestamps, data volume and the account they belong to — because that is what billing, fair use and troubleshooting require. We do not read the contents of what you browse, and we do not sell customer data. Our full privacy terms are in clause 12 of the Terms & Conditions.
Message the support desk — we start working from the first message and keep you updated until it is fixed. If an outage lasts more than 48 hours, we extend your subscription by the number of days affected. Repeat faults at the same address get a physical technician visit, not another restart.
Get connected
Send this form and we will confirm coverage, recommend a plan and book an installation slot. No payment is taken until the connection works.
WiFi is sponsored and run by BowCash Link, our mobile money banking agency. Pay your subscription, buy data or settle a bill at any BowCash Link point in Sunyani.
Landlords & associations
We install a shared point-of-access unit for a house, hostel block, shop or association, so residents choose their own plan and pay their own bill. Free site survey, one invoice, one point of contact.
